Kompany might be sold

There are media reports that Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola is angry with his defender Vincent Kompany after the latter has picked up yet another injury.

The defender who has only just recently returned from injury has been injured again while on international duty, and the former Barcelona manager appears to be frustrated with the defender.

Pep Guardiola is furious that the player played the whole match and will not be missing the Champions League game. He believes that the player should have played only a part of the game and insisted on being substituted.

It increasingly appears that Vincent Kompany will be sold in the next transfer window with Tony Alderweireld his replacement. The latter has apparently asked for a substantial wage increase from Tottenham Hotspurs and should be open to a move to Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is aware that his defence requires strengthening and has invested massively in new players during the transfer window. But he was counting on Vincent Kompany to be the foundation of his new defence, but unfortunately, the player has spent more time on the bench recently due to injuries.

The Manchester City manager is apparently furious with the new injury and has stated that he is seriously considering selling the player.

An alternative to Tony Alderweireld will be the signing of Johnny Evans. The latter has been the subject of interests of many Premier League side and will be an excellent addition to the Manchester City team.

Now it is all in the hands of Vincent Kompany. If he manages to stay fit until the end of the season and give his best performance on the pitch, Pep Guardiola might change his opinion and consider keeping faith in the Belgium international. Only time will tell us whether Kompany will remain a Manchester City player.
