BITTER SWEET

Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over Everton when they played back in October was a bitter-sweet event for them as they claimed all 3 points from the match they also had to see Vincent Kompany picking up an injury that would see him not being able to play for his team for the following weeks.

Not only missing out from the matches of his club but the injury will also leave him out of national team’s side, Belgium. The Belgians will take on Colombia and Japan in two home friendly fixtures on the 15th and 19th of November respectively.

But after reportedly ruling himself out of those games, Kompany will now hope to be fit in time for City’s meeting with Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium on November 24.

This has not been the best of seasons for Kompany as he was also absent on Belgium’s 2 final World qualifiers and only being able to make 6 appearances for Manchester City which is now under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini.

It does seem however that Manchester City are doing excellent without the Belgian defender as the English club had to play without him in yesterday’s Champions League match against CSKA Moscow and came out with a 5-2 victory and their last Premier League encounter saw them defeating Norwich with a resounding score of 7-0.

The Russian billionaire and AS Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev  is also interested in signing Vincent Kompany from Manchester City although it is hard to imagine the 27 years old defender making a move away from his current club as he plays a pivotal role for his team and does not look to be changing anytime soon.
