op dit moment behoord hij tot de top 3 van de PL..
@DeathDevice1212 Did somebody say he is better than Vidic?
Vidic is better!!!
Most underrated defender.
hmm okay well belgium needs some work, so does US. i’m not american so good job sis.
ANYWAY, the best nations to ever play football “soccer” and continue to do so
are Brazil and Argentina 🙂
amen
@mirizzy it means that america sucks horribly at football, so you cant even try and come on here and insult another teams national football team. population of usa: 308 million. population of belgium: 10 million. and they still have a better football team than you lol
@Shapper8 Indeed, i think van den borre is the man for our right back, but for the left … I think poco hasnt the level right now, maybe in 2 years. I hate when vertonghen plays there. Maybe Van Damme. For the future maybe the second lukaku 🙂 i think its jordan. He’s a left mid or left back and he has some great potential 🙂
whatever that means
@NashReds
True. We just need some kick ass right and left backs as we can beat any team in the world (except Spain). I still believe Vanden Borre can be the right side man, but on the left side… Don’t know. Maybe Pocognoli, a few years ago he clearly seemed to have some potential, but today he’s not that good anymore… Vermaelen, Lombaerts and Vertonghen doesn’t fit, those guys are really really good but they are central backs. In fact there’s a problem with the formation I think.
@NashReds
Wrong. When he played for Anderlecht, he played as a central back or right back, almost never seen him as a defensive midfielder in Anderlecht. He got those technical skills cause he played a lot in his neighborhood in Brussels. Thats why. But anyway, his main skills are purely defensive : clever, pace, strong, safe and last but not least, worldclass anticipation. He always knows if he can get the ball or not : if he can, he got the ball. His technique is just a plus.
@mirizzy says the guy whos american FAIL
in belgie spelen er hele goede spelers op aanvallend vlak.lukaku is zon vb
@pieter85 I totally agree with you, but when someone asks “why is he doing that?” as a CB, i m just anwering by the fact that he s not only a CB. But i think this position is perfect for him, classy player! Belgian’s proud. Now belgium need good right and left backs.
@NashReds He only played Def mid a few times @ Anderlecht. Then with City he played that position for a few months. @ RSCA as a CB he went forward a few times every match & then he showed his technique & vision. Now @ City he has to play ‘safe’. Thats the English way of football. But he still got the flair!
@pieter85 Yes, but as i sayd, as a young player, he more often played as deffensive middfielder. Thats where his dribling come from. Ok, its not the role of a central back, but when you see him playing, he really not does that often! He s a really serious player.
@NashReds They are backs not Central backs 😉 Big difference. & Their technique is nothing compared to Kompany’s
@Highschoolkid2 and what do you think are maicon, rafael or lahm doing ? best defenders are often good tehcnician! And kompany is certainly one of the 5 best deffenders in the world! And if you see him dribling, it s because he played def middfielders as well!

@OBAFCA
learn to win the world cup final! (3 times!) lol!…
you remember george grun in 1985? you see that we can play football!
player butcher!
@dionodinot do not forget lukaku
